QelloConcerts

East Moline Library is excited to announce we will now be offering QelloConcerts, a concert and music documentary streaming service!  This service is free to East Moline library card holders, and can be accessed anywhere with an Internet connection.

Qello not only offers new content each week, but provides musical suggestions catered to your listening habits.  It’s the world’s largest collection of full-length concerts and music documentaries streamed on-demand to just about any digital device.  It’s like a never-ending concert ticket!

Community Passes!

The library would like to thank the FRIENDS of the East Moline Public Library group for generously purchasing passes to the Figge Art Museum, Niabi Zoo, Putnam Museum, and Quad Cities Botanical Center!  These will be free for East Moline Library patrons to check out for one week.  All check outs will receive passes for four people or a family into the venue for free.

These passes are for EAST MOLINE LIBRARY CARDHOLDERS ONLY!  There will be no holds allowed, and they will be first come, first serve.  The fine on these cards will be $1.00 a piece for each card checked out.

Haunted House Spooktacular!

October 22nd | All Day

Children’s Activities 3-5 p.m.

Featuring a “ghost walk” and other spooky activities!

Kid-Friendly Haunted House 5-6 p.m.

The fear factor is dialed back, and the lights will be on for the haunted house appropriate for ages 10 and under

Haunted House 7-9 p.m.

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART, NOT RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 10 AND UNDER

Haunted House Rules & Legal Disclaimer

Please Read Before Entering

Haunted House is not Suitable for Children 10 and Under

Children 12 and Under Should be Accompanied by an Adult

You will experience intense audio and lighting, extreme low visibility, strobe lights, fog, light touching and scenes of brutal violence and gore. It contains strong terror, and is considered extremely intense, realistic, and terrifying.

You should not enter if you are pregnant; have claustrophobia or latex allergy; are prone to seizures, heart or respiratory problems, or any other medical condition that may be triggered and or worsened by stressful conditions. Please be aware that exiting the Haunted House requires the use of stairs.

PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE VOLUNTEERS! If you need volunteers to discontinue their role, please ask them to STOP, and they will back away from your group.

No photography or videography is permitted. Turn off cell phones before entering. No smoking, lighters, food, or drink is permitted inside. Do not touch the props, sets, or scenic elements. Do not enter if you are intoxicated, taking medication, or using drugs of any type.

East Moline Public Library is neither responsible nor liable for any damage (personal or property), injury, loss, or theft. This includes but is not limited to: injury, bodily harm, property damage, loss, medical condition onset, and/or death. By entering our event, you take full responsibility and waive all rights against taking action against the East Moline Public Library and its haunted house facilitators.

East Moline Public Library and the Haunted House facilitators reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone!

The Haunted House has a strict end time of 9:00 p.m. No participants may enter the Haunted House after 9:00 p.m.

Movie Matinee: War for the Planet of the Apes

October 28th | 2-4 p.m.

Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.

Fresh popcorn will be served, and a librarian will be present during the movie
