Teens

“You can’t stop the power of the youth, ’cause the power of the youth won’t stop.”

The East Moline Public Library is an awesome place for you to find books, magazines, movies, and CDs. We’ve got a YA room full of books just for YOU and a large collection of anime DVDs and manga available for checkout. We are always buying new books, movies, video games, manga, and other materials, so if there’s something you want us to get – tell us! Just talk to either of the YA Librarians (Aimee or Hannah) and we’ll be happy to expand our collection. Add us on Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for all of the latest YA news!  You can also email us at paschkova@eastmolinelibrary.org!

TLC’s give young people a VOICE in creating and sustaining programs for teens at the library.  TLC members can give input on YA collections, contribute to blogs, help lead/create programming, volunteer at events, organize community service projects, and influence how we serve teens!

BONUS: being involved with a Teen Advisory Board looks GREAT on college applications!
